We’re stoked to bring you this week’s Euphoric Transmission which happens to be a wonky and futuristic exploration through bass music from New Zealand producer Ashez. This 21 year old up and comer started playing guitar both solo and in bands when he was eight years old, teaching later on, and after school decided to pursue music further by studying electronic music production at SAE. He has been producing and playing shows for 2 years now and has his music on various labels and collectives around the world such as Crown Collective, Abstract Future, Spiked Punch Records & Black Rose Club. He has also collaborated with similar artists such as Troy Kete, Acrillics and Masaru. He has a very unique, creative style and is dedicated to experimenting with new sounds and bringing different cultural styles together as he discovers them.
Case in point in this absolutely fuego mix Ashez cooked up for us. It not only showcases some of the premiere low-end, face melting bass music of our time but also includes a few unreleased heaters from the boy himself. The mix flows with the steadiness of a river current and his transitions are on point; Every track seems to fit perfectly in place. If you’re looking for something to womp out to this is definitely the mix for you. Now if we could only get Ashez to come throw down live. Though he’s from New Zealand Ashez will be residing in Portland Oregon for the next 6 months so promoters take note! Make sure to turn up loud for this one and show Ashez some love if you dig it!
