Elliot Wright is not good at spelling. He never has been and probably never will be. This is a weird issue to come from a UCSC Modern Lit Major who graduated Cum Laude, but we are not judging.
Luckily for Elliot, no one can see how he spells when hearing his lyrics in one of his songs. He goes by the name Eliquate and is based out of Santa Cruz, CA. This “lyrical word-smith” has been at it for over a decade and shows no sign of stopping. With a ferocious live show, a crazy following and a brand new spinal cord, 2016 looks to be a year of new feats for this Central Coast musical staple.
Eliquate performed this past October at Santa Cruz Music Festival 2015 and Elliot injured himself pretty badly. He herniated two disks in his neck and shattered his C6 vertebrae causing surgery and multiple months of recovery. This would stop many people, Elliot is not one of those people. With a new album and multiple music videos on deck he is waiting in anticipation to share the next phase of his Eliquate project with the world.
Along with the bad spelling Elliot also suffers from having terrible patience. He wants you to hear all the music he has been making right this moment. He blames you not being able to listen to it on his management wanting to put it out in a professional manner. In his battle with management they gave in to him releasing a single.
Euphoric presents Eliquate’s “My Stupid Face” (produced by Ian Keller) a song about best friends, late nights, silly faces and expecting changes.
